Tamping Cob

Brian, a.k.a Ziggy, has asked me to publish his Cob House Work Exchange at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, in Rutledge, Missouri for the fall of 2008. The house you’ll help build, if you so choose, is a spiral-shaped structure composed entirely of cob (a mix of sand, clay, and straw), complete with a reclaimed urbanite foundation and a living reciprocal roof. Good Luck Ziggy!

I like a bunch of the information Dancing Rabbit has been putting out on the net. Spiral shaped? Cannot wait to see how it looks when they get it done. Hopefully they will put a video out showing the building. Will there be a rocket stove in it also?

    Hi John,
I think he is going to build a rocket stove.

    Hiya John:

Yep, there will be a rocket stove. It will be connected to a cob bed and bench, no less.
